Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions outline the policies we have at Escape Quest Inc. and checking off that you have read and understand these Terms and Conditions means that you have read, reviewed, and agree to these Terms and Conditions and its contents. Most of these policies are outlined in our FAQ.
The individual group member booking the reservation on behalf of themselves and other members of the group must be authorized by all members of the group to make such reservation and must read and understand these Terms and Conditions fully. Acceptance of these Terms and Conditions by the individual group member means that every individual in the group accepts these Terms and Conditions as well. For anyone in the group that is under 18 years of age, the parent or guardian must accept these Terms and Conditions on their behalf.
Bookings are made via the online booking system on our website or in person at our location. You are entirely responsible for entering your details and information correctly into the online booking system.
Payment and Booking
Payment for the reservation is due in full at the time of the booking. Price and payment details will be confirmed during the booking process prior to payment. They will also be reflected on your booking confirmation. Your chosen method of payment will be charged during the payment process.
We accept payments on our website, through our secure booking service supplier Bookeo, who will safely process your payment card data without us ever having to hold it. Payments are only accepted online or in person at our premises.
Booking confirmations will be sent automatically to the email indicated after the booking is complete. Booking confirmations are proof of payment. The confirmation will contain our contact information as well as your reservation details, mainly the date and time of the reservation, and the amount of players for whom the booking is valid.
Booking confirmations will be treated as tickets and will be inspected upon your arrival. They are valid for only the amount of people shown on the confirmation. Print this confirmation or show the email to the game host before the start of the mission.
You will be denied entry if failure to present the booking confirmation or proof of identity if asked.
Your Booking Time
Escape Quest is a timed event with a scheduled start time that is reflected in your booking. You are responsible for ensuring that you and all of your group members arrive at the time stated on the booking confirmation. This time is 15 minutes before the actual start time of your hour-long game. This 15 minutes is crucial so that all group members are briefed on their game and understand what they have to do while playing the game.
Games will not be delayed for late arrivals. We will allow late arrivals into the room once the hour has begun but please understand that arrival 15 minutes into the hour will not be allowed to play. If none of the group members have arrived by 15 minutes into the hour written on the booking confirmation, this reservation will be treated as a no-show and no members will be allowed to play after the 15 minutes. No refund or rescheduling is allowed for no-shows.
It is your responsibility to arrive on time to our premises to play the game at the time stated on Garrangements that will result in your booking being a no-show. The parking information provided on our FAQs is only to aid in planning your visit. We cannot be held responsible for any parking violations that may incur.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
Escape Quest is a live and timed event and once booking is confirmed, we cannot accept any last minute cancellations or rescheduling requests. We cannot offer full refunds due to last minute cancellations. No refund will be made in the case of travel disruptions misreading the date or time of a reservation, or any team members dropping.
We understand that unexpected things happen and schedules change. For your convenience, we allow cancellations to be made 48 hours prior to your reservation with a full refund. For cancellations made 24 hours prior to your reservations, we will offer a credit for a future game, to be used within 30 days. You have to schedule a new time and date. No cancellations are permitted within 24 hours of the reservation. We will do our best to reschedule your booking when possible.
Pricing and Availability
You may book your reservation up to one month in advance but we cannot guarantee that all missions will be available at all dates and times and cannot confirm availability until confirming your booking. Available dates are listed on our website but such indications may not take into account bookings that have been placed by other customers while you were visiting our website.
All reasonable efforts will be made to ensure that all prices on our website are correct at all times, but we reserve the right to change prices or to add, alter, or remove special offers without prior notice and as necessary. Changes in price have no effect on already placed bookings. Prices shown on our website are subject to New York State tax.
Promotional Codes and Gift Certificates
Discounts, promotional codes, coupons, gift certificates, and vouchers must be applied at the time of booking. They cannot be used on previous bookings and cannot be combined.
Vouchers and gift certificates purchased via our website or received as gifts are valid for up to 6 months from the date of purchase. They can only be redeemed online upon booking. Vouchers and gift certificates are not refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash or replaced if lost.
Vouchers and gift certificates are good for a single transaction. Any remaining amount will be automatically forfeited. Any total exceeding the value of the voucher or gift certificate will be paid by you at the time of redeeming the voucher or gift certificate online.
We reserve the right to add, change, or cancel any discounts or promotions at any time and without prior notice.
Escape Quest offers different missions suitable for different ages. Most of our rooms are suitable for ages 8 and up. Cannibal Lair is suitable for ages 16 and up. Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult over 18 for the entire duration of the game. They must be on property but do not have to go into the room with them.
Gameplay and Conduct
Our escape room experiences or missions are designed from 2 to 8 players. Groups of more than 8 players must book more than one escape room game. All games are private, meaning no other players will be added to your game.
We are a family-friendly attraction and therefore we reserve the right to deny admission to or terminate an escape game if the individual(s) are wearing inappropriate attire that could detract from the experience of other players. People under the influence of alcohol or drugs may be turned away or removed from our premises by our employees. In such cases, the booking may be cancelled with no refund. While you are on our premises, you must ensure to follow all of our codes and regulations as well as adopt proper standards of behavior. Any harassment or bullying towards our employees will be treated seriously and in such cases we have the right to remove such individuals from our premises. Any violent, abusive, threatening, or disruptive behavior will be removed from our premises with no refund.
Food and drinks are not allowed inside the escape rooms unless given permission by the game host to bring water bottles into the room. Alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited within out premises.
Although phones are allowed within the escape room games, please do not use them to look anything up or take photos or videos. No photo or video recordings of any kind are allowed inside the rooms. If you are a press representative planning to film or to take photos, please get in touch with us for permission at firstname.lastname@example.org. CCTV will be used to monitor you and your team while you are inside the escape room completing your mission. This includes audio and video monitoring and will be used as an essential part of your game. It is used for safety purposes and for monitoring your progress and providing you with proper hints for when you get stuck. Recordings of the games are stored for 48 hours after the game with the sole purpose of documenting evidence of illegal activity or behavior, or committing willful damage to our property or harassing members of staff. We are entitled to charge our guests for any intentional damage or damage that is caused by misuse of company property within the lounge area or inside any of the escape rooms.
After the completion of your mission, photographs of you with your team will be taken with your permission to be stored on our computer and to be uploaded to our Photo Gallery on our website as well as various social media such as, but not limited to, Instagram and Facebook. By accepting these Terms and Conditions and allowing our game host to take photographs, you grant unconditional permission for those photographs to be used by Escape Quest Inc. for marketing and promotional purposes. If you do not wish your team to be photographed by us and used this way, please advise our game host after the end of your mission.
Our games are our intellectual property, including but not limited to the props, puzzles, hints, storylines, and decorations. We expect all members of your group not to disclose any details of the game directly or indirectly to any third parties. You accept that any disclosure to any third parties may constitute an infringement of our intellectual property rights.
We accept no liability for consequential losses incurred as the result of the cancellation of a booking under any circumstances. The limit of direct liability relating to any individual booking shall be the full amount paid by the customer for that booking.
Whilst your experience is insured by the venue and the public liability held by Escape Quest Inc, you undertake to act carefully and follow all instructions of the game host while within the experience and on premises. You will not take any unnecessary risks such as climbing on unsafe surfaces that are not designed for that specific purpose or using extreme physical force or energy for anything. Our games do not require such activities and the guests are made aware of this by the game host during the briefing before the experience. You are responsible for your own safety and all of your personal belongings during the game. We do not take any responsibility for any lost or damaged personal belongings, electronics, or various other devices.
Events outside of our control
Escape Quest Inc will not be held liable for any delay or failure in performing our obligations if that delay or failure results from any cause that is beyond our reasonable control. Such cases include, but are not limited to: power failure, internet service failure, fire, flood, natural disasters, omissions of landlords, governmental action, or any other event that is beyond our reasonable control. In such cases, we will do our best to accommodate all bookings affected by such cases and will reschedule the booking or issue a voucher.
